After taking many small steps of faith to let the Lord Jesus and His Word become the foundation of your life, it becomes a lot to give up to return to your previous way of life.
As the praise song goes, “Nothing compares to the promise I have in You”.
When people hear and receive the accurate message Jesus’ gospel – God’s Spirit enters them and begin to transform their hearts and minds. But first, people have to hear the accurate message of His gospel. That’s where it begins. Church attendance and participation is not going to bring transformation into people’s hearts – preaching and teaching His word accurately and with His leading is where it begins.
“For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart” – Hebrews 4:12
“To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ. “ – Colossians 1:27-28
“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard?[a] And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed what he has heard from us?” So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” – Romans 10:14-17

“No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.”
